Yu-Qi (at 11th day old)

Yu-Qi has jaundice

Yu-qi's jaundice level was quite high, 15.1mg/dl where she need to be put under phototherapy. (Same as me last time). Mummy was worried initially cause she is on total breastfeeding and if she has to be hospitalised, it will be quite troublesome for mummy to send down express breast milk to Thomson medical centre. Luckily there is this rental of Peb bed home where u can treat jaundied infants at home. It is not cheap, a rental of 3 days 2 night cost $417.30, but i think it is still cheaper than hospitalised. Initially, yu-qi was not used to it and she will cry when we put her in, but after a few hours of attempt, she is ok with it and we are happy that her jaundice level was down to 10.3mg/dl after 2 days of phototherapy!

Mummy's gynae

Daddy said we must take a photo with Dr Yvonne Chan who delivered both of us. She is a good gynae and mummy said she is very "zai". During mummy's check up, she will play and talk with me.

Mummy has give birth to mei-mei

Yeah, mummy has give birth to mei-mei on 11 Nov at 0907am, her name is called Yu-Qi. Yu-Qi really choose to meet us on her estimated date of delivery (EDD), where only 5% of baby deliver on their EDD.
Yu-Qi has a good weight of 3.445kg and 50cm in length where i weigh only 3.125kg and 48cm during birth.

Daddy n mummy was glad that i can accept Yu-Qi well, didn't really get jealous even when i saw mummy was breastfeeding Yu-Qi. Look, i even willing to kiss Yu-Qi.

My dinner

About 3, 4 month ago, I have started having rice for my dinner. Mummy will cook my portion of food separately from the adults cause adults food tends to be more salty!
Mummy will introduce at least a vegetable and a meat/fish for my meals everyday.. Tonight i am having steam cod fish, pan fry broccoli, pumpkin and tou-kan. Look at the portion of my food, sometimes i can finish almost everything!

Updates from Mummy

Mummy said her neck is like a giraffe now.. Cause she has been waiting for mei-mei's arrival everyday but there is still no sign of labour yet. Mummy went for her gynae check up yesterday and she told her gynae she did feel some contraction since wed night. So gynae did a cervix check and said mummy's cervix has dilated 1.5cm already. So we were told that mummy's labour could be in these few days time! So right now mummy is monitoring her contraction and if the contraction becomes more regular and stronger, she will be heading to hospital and get ready. Mummy really hope that she can post my mei-mei's photo in her next (Updates from Mummy), so stay tune!

Feeding myself a cup of yoghurt

Mummy and kakak has been feeding me most of the time and only until recently, then mummy start to let me feed myself.. Mummy knew it is a bit late to start me on feeding myself but she was glad that i can make it cause most of the time she find it troublesome and messy! Anyway i enjoy feeding myself cause i can control the amount that i want to eat and it is fun!

Wedding lunch at Merchant Court Hotel

After my class at GUG, we rushed down to Mechant Court hotel to attend one of daddy's relative's wedding. When we reached there, the groom and bride was about to march in, hehe, we were late!

Initially i was a bit shy to all the relatives and like to hide beside daddy, opps!

This is my great-grandpa and grandma and also my san-shu gong.. Not sure why i didn't smile at this photo :)

And this is my Ah-Gong.. I like my ah-gong to carry me walk around cause i refused to sit down in the high chair today!

And this is my Ah-ma, shu-shu (daddy's brother) and shen shen.

And this is cheeky yu-fei, like to walk around and entertained the guests :)

My progress at GUG

Daddy and mummy was glad that i participate well during today's class at GUG although it is only the 3rd lesson. Compared to previous 2 classes, i show more interest, participate in all the activities, and willing to share things with my classmates today. Daddy said this is a good sign and they are glad that they made the right choice by enrolling me. Mummy was surprised to peep a happy me during the class and even other mummy was commenting i am a happy and cheerful boy :)

At the end of my lesson, we were told that tomorrow is one of my classmate, Ashely's birthday and all of us sing a birthday song to him and give him a hug. Ashley's parents also bought each of us a barney cupcake and here i am happily holding the cupcake and asked mummy to open and let me eat, keke.

Bishan Community Library

After mummy's visit to the gynae, we went to Bishan Community Library to return my library books. As usual, i like to walk around in the library, bring the books to mummy, playing with the chair etc rather than concentrating on reading books.. So everytime mummy and daddy will help me select about 10 books for me to borrow home so that they can read to me.

Daddy show me a teddy book and asked me to tickle teddy's ears..

Mummy, i am reading a book now, you see :)

Updates from Mommy

Hihi..Again, there is still no sign of labour from mommy. She went for her routine check up this morning and everything is fine, think my little mei-mei feel pretty comfortable inside mommy's tummy and wish to stay longer. Gynae did a scan and we were told that bb's heart rate has slow down (initially daddy is worried but gynae said it is normal cause bb has mature), baby's ear has already passed mommy's bladder line and baby's amniotic fluid is lesser and all these sign is that baby will be meeting us pretty soon, perhaps less than a weeks time? So stay tune for latest update soon!

Hand-eye coordination

One of the SMH's mummy has shared with mummy some of the play ideas to keep the little one busy.. And here is one of the them, trasferring beans from one cup to another or using a spoon to transfer. Look at me, so focus on scooping the macaroni to another bowl..
Hmm, i think pouring is so much easier than using a spoon to scoop cause the macaroni tends to drop out.. And it is so much faster, hehe (play cheat).
Mummy keep laughing when she saw my lips become (tu-tu) when i am concentrating..
Mummy gave me another bowl of soya bean to test my hand-eye coordination skill..
I try hard to practice but the soya beans keep dropping on the floor, opps.. And here i am trying to pick up the soya beans without lifting my backside from my chair.
