As father’s day and mother’s day is only 1 month apart, therefore mummy’s family always celebrated both occasions together. So for this year, we celebrated on 19th June.

The restaurant was crowded but glad that 舅母 has made reservation in advance and all the dishes were delicious and we even have to take away back cause it is too much for us:)

CAT

Mummy came across this CAT play from newspapers and brought us for the show on 13th June.
This play was based on a popular Australian picture book by Mike Dumbleton and Craig Smith and is ideal for children aged one to four.

Cat play works with music, sounds, puppets, actors and lots of meowing and this interactive, engaging and colourful production is set in a backyard. The “lawn” is turned into a seating area for us and they will follow a day in the life of Cat and her encounters with Dog, Frog, Mouse, Chicken, Caterpillar, Birds and Fish.

Before the show starts, we even took part in the get Cat Crafty workshop with educators from Julia Gabriel with our very own cat puppets!

All of us including daddy and mummy thoroughly enjoyed the play!

Advance Happy Father's Day

Daddy was lucky to win a dining voucher for 2 worth $90+++ to Spices Café at Concorde hotel for father’s day celebration. The lucky draw coupon was given to us when we went there for mother’s day celebration last month and we didn’t expect to win the dining voucher until daddy received the letter.

As we will be away from this Saturday, therefore mummy called to enquiry about bringing forward the date and to our surprised, we were allowed to do so. So we went for buffet dinner yesterday and our forgetful daddy forgotten to bring his camera and mummy can only snap a few pictures of us using her lousy hp camera :)

Anyway, advance Happy Father’s Day to our daddy!

Fidgets

We have a play date with Shannyn, Julian, Claryce and Joelle at Fidgets on Wednesday and thanks to Aunty Chantelle for giving us a ride there :)

It was our second trip with them there since Sep 09. Backed then, I was more adventurous with the slides but not for this round but my gross motor skills had been greatly improved. As for Qiqi, she seems to enjoyed herself this round cause she was a toddler now and she tried almost everything under the roof!

Qiqi enjoyed riding in the 3 different cars and turning the steering wheels.

These are our friends. The top left hand picture shows that we are having snacks to recharge ourselves.

Oh ya, there was this boy who is older than me likes to play with Qiqi a lot! He kept playing and bringing Qiqi everywhere he goes and Qiqi likes his companion as well :)

Looney Tunes

Mummy brought us to Bukit Panjang Plaza on 4th June to catch Looney Tunes Active Soccer Fiesta and we met Tweety, Sylvester and Bugs Bunny! We missed the chance of getting a photo pass cause when we reached, the show is starting soon and mummy had no time for last minutes purchase and also I told mummy that I wasn’t keen to take pictures with them :)

We will be here again on next week to catch Transformer!

Qiqi said "pi-pi"

Today Qiqi told mummy that she wants to pee! She said “pi-pi” and when mummy asked her again whether she was sure, she said “pi-pi” and nod her head. So mummy brought her to the toilet and she really pee!

Mummy was glad that she was able to tell us when she wants to pee. Beside pee, she was able to tell us when she wants to “ng-ng” too, and most of the time what she said is true. Another incident during this afternoon was when we were at the library, Qiqi said “pi-pi” again and pointed towards her diaper and mummy told her to pee in her diaper because of convenience. After telling her, mummy thinks that we may confuse her :)

A day at Marina Square

Went to Marina Square last Saturday cause mummy wants to get some stuffs during GSS. We had a stop at Swensen’s for desserts to recharge ourselves and I love this place cause it provides coloring pencils and papers for the kids. Mummy tried to feed Qiqi some ice-cream but she refused to eat, just like me when I was young who doesn’t fancy ice-cream :)

We also spend some times at the kid’s playground at level 2 and I enjoyed my animal rides while Qiqi preferred to have her kiddy rides without inserting coins. (Good for daddy cause it can save him $$:)

And also we able to catches show on Celebrate Doraemon & Friends' 40th Anniversary at the center stage and we get to know Doraemon, Nobita and Shizuka better after watching the show.

Navy Open House 2010

To enhance my learning on the theme of “all on board”, we went to Navy Open House at Changi Naval Base on 22nd May.

Daddy parked his car at the Singapore Expo and we took the shuttle bus to Changi Naval Base. The highlights of the event includes: Climb onboard the formidable Frigate, the gigantic Landing Ship Tank and the nimble Patrol Vessel; Get up close and personal with Harpoon missiles, torpedoes and naval guns; Speed in ships on the open sea and Watch the Naval Divers in an exciting ship-storming display.

Most of the time we need to queued up for at least 30mins in order to onboard the ship and luckily the weather was still bearable although it was a sunny day and all of us got a little sun-burned after the day.

Both of us enjoyed ourselves and knocked out after we onboard the shuttle bus cause we were simply too tired :)

Jacob Ballas Children's Garden

Went to Jacob Ballas on last Saturday evening with my skate scooter but was told by the friendly staff that we are not allowed to skate in the garden. So we had a walk in the garden and it was a place with great variety of things to play with and lots of room to run and explore!

There were water play area, spice garden, little hut with musical instruments made from plants such as bamboo and coconut, tree house, suspension bridge, waterfall with a cave, playground etc!

We ended the day in the playground where there are a few interesting play items not seen else where. Such as this rotating disc and device that looks like an ice-cream scope which I love so much cause I can scoop the sands and rotate to another side and pour it off!

Skate scooter

Seeing other children riding their skate scooter at the playground, I told mummy I want to have one too. To double confirm I really keen to have one, mummy borrowed one from a boy and let me tried and i simply love it! So daddy got a 2-wheels skate scooter for me and here we are testing out my skate scooter at the playground.

It was fun to skate around and I am learning to master the skills and fyi, I fall down from my skate scooter recently and hurt my lips and of course I cried badly. But mummy told me this is parts and parcel and sometimes accident do happen, just that i have to be careful all the times.

Happy Mother's Day

It was mummy’s 4th Mothers day this year. I made a flower for mummy and she love this flower cause it was something unusual. I made this flower in the school with the help of Li Ling 老师 and this flower was scented cause I add in a drop of perfume!

As for the actual day, we have a buffet lunch with my great-grandma and grandma at Spices Café at Concorde Hotel. I enjoyed the food cause I can eat anything I like :)

Joelle's 1st Birthday Party

We were invited to attend Joelle’s first birthday party on 2nd May. The theme of the birthday party was Sesames street and the party was a great one cause there was a toy area and a coloring corner that was specially set up for the children to keep us occupied! Nice thought Auntie Jammie has :)

It was nice meeting Julian, Joelle, Shannyn and Claryce again and me and Shannyn even do the colorings together. Julian was a very lovable and helpful boy cause he distributed M&M chocolates to all his friends and also helping out with distributing cakes to most of the guests!

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves during the party and I even ate 2pcs of jelly cakes! Once again, thanks Aunty Jammie for inviting us :)

1st May

I had my hair cut on 1st May and fyi, mummy spend at least 20mins of time talking/persuading me. Most of the time I agreed to has my hair cut but upon reaching the hair salon, I will back out and refused to go into the hair salon.

Mummy was getting impatient initially but she tried very hard to persuade me and make up a story telling me that “kutu” likes to stay in long hairs and insisted asking me to let Auntie Desaree to have a check of my scalp. Worried that I might have “kutu”, I finally stepped in to the hair salon :)

After my hair cut, we made a trip to Istana cause it was an open day. It was our very first trip to Istana except for daddy who had been there when he was young. We enjoyed ourselves at the Istana cause there are slides, water fountain and the big land that we can “zoom” around. Both of us get wet totally after playing with the water fountain and luckily mummy always brought a set of clothing for us when we are out.

Zoo 26th April

Qiqi had a date with her friends to Singapore Zoo on 26th April. Knowing that I will insist to follow, mummy kept this secret without telling me. On 26th morning, mummy had to lie to me that she was going to bring qiqi for her vaccination (I am not keen to follow for vaccination) and I happily waved goodbye to them.

Mummy reached Zoo at 10am sharp and met Auntie E-wen, Auntie Zelia, Zach and Rachelle and shortly, the weather changed from sunny to cloudy days and it started to drizzle and then pouring! So they went to Ah Meng’s café for chit-chatting while waiting for the rains to stop. It was a very wet day and luckily they need not pay the entrance fees because Auntie Zelia has a corporate pass (thank you Auntie Zelia).
After the rains stop at around 3pm, they went to kid’s world to have water play. Qiqi was a shy girl and refused to joined Zach and Rachelle where both of them had so much fun in the water play! So while waiting for them, mummy brought Qiqi around to look at rabbits, horses, goats etc.

Fyi, this was mummy’s first experience for bringing qiqi out alone! Mummy was glad that Qiqi behave well throughout the day except that she was very shy towards others and refused to play with her friends :)

Bad week for us

It has been a bad week for us cause firstly, Qiqi was down with fever + flu, and followed by me and mummy where both of us was down with flu + fever + cough!

Glad that all of us were almost well now except for slight running nose. The bad weather should be the caused for our illness cause the weather recently was so chaotic, morning will be all sunny and bright and afternoon onwards will be raining heavily and followed by sunny days again. My fever was lasted for more than 3 days and mummy was worried and brought me to my PD yesterday morning for a blood test (full blood count + Influenza A+B) and luckily my blood tests only shows that I was infected by viral infection. I was so frightened when mummy told me that I will be going for a finger prick and I cried during the process because the procedure is painful. I was given antibiotic to standby if my fever doesn’t subside by this Saturday and hopefully I need not use it.

Changi Airport T3

Mummy gets to know there are kiddy rides at Changi Airpot T3 from the forum mummies. She even showed me some pictures and asked me whether am I keen on the rides and I said yes cause there are police motorbikes, jeeps, race cars etc which I shows great interest in it!

So daddy brought us to T3 two Saturdays ago and upon reaching the car rides area, both of us hold back and refused to step further and preferred to sit on the waiting area. Mummy asked me do I want to have a ride and I told her no. Mummy suspects that the reason we refused to have a ride is due to the strong blower noise just like our recent outing to Polliwogs. After sat there for about 10mins, same question were raised to me and I said no again.

So we proceed to T3’s viewing hall to view aeroplane. We enjoyed viewing the aeroplane (more than kiddy rides :))and I get to understand how the goods and luggages are being transport to the planes, how the planes take off and lands etc. We even proceed to T2 for viewing again cause I told daddy I want to see more aeroplane :)

After T2 viewing, daddy brought us to Changi Coast Road for a closer view of aeroplane and experience the loud noise when the plane take off.
On the next day we even went to the library to borrow books to further understand about aeroplanes!

Toothbrush

About few months ago, mummy switched Qiqi from finger brush to Pigeon tooth brush cause Qiqi likes to bite mummy’s finger when brush teeth and it is really painful according to mummy. Nowadays Qiqi will “tell” mummy to take her toothbrush and toothpaste when bathing and she prefer to sucks/taste the toothpaste more than brushing her teeth :)

PastaMania kitchen

I enjoyed trips organised by my school and last week, we went to PastaMania kitchen for an educational tour! (We were taught about various occupations for this term) I was excited on the day itself and kept asking mummy, what color of bus are we taking today cause I love to take bus.

Upon reaching, we were told about the facts of the organization and also the nutritional value. After that we had a tour of the kitchen and were introduced to the different kitchen equipment and its usage and lastly which was the most interesting part was to meet the Chef session for pizza making. All of us had fun making our own pizza with cheese, chicken, mushroom and tomato sauce with the chef and also get to taste some of the food.

We were also given a PastaMania balloon, a notebook and a $5 voucher as goodies! Mummy was overjoyed when she saw me holding a pizza when she picked me up, only got to know that the pizza is NOT FOR CONSUMPTION when reached home:)

婆婆's house

At times I will tell mummy that I want to go back to婆婆's house cause I missed all of them especially the jie-jies and gor-gors. It has been 2 months since we last went back so mummy suggested we make a trip back over the weekend which was 2 weeks ago.

I skipped school on friday and we leave the house around noon cause daddy has an appt in the morning. On the way back, I kept asking daddy and mummy have we reach 婆婆's house? What time are we going to reach and think I asked for about 6 times at least :) When we reached婆婆's house, both myself and Qiqi was excited cause we can play around freely in the spacious environment. After greeting 爷爷&婆婆, we ride bicycle, play around and have a swim in the pool, too bad Qiqi couldn’t joined us in the pool cause she had running nose.

In the evening, we had a walk in the backyard, which is also called a mini fruit & vegetable farm cause there are guava tree, lime tree, papaya tree, mango tree, soursop tree, custard apple tree, longan tree, tomato tree, lady finger, long bean, spinach etc! We ate a few mini guavas and it tasted so good and sweet!

Time always passes quickly and 3 days is simply not enough for us, anyway we had a great time over there and we will be back again during June school holidays.

Yoghurt

Knowing that I like yoghurt so whenever mummy went for super-marketing, she will get a few to stock in the fridge. This is the 1st time Qiqi tasted the yoghurt and she really like it! Both of us finished one cup of yoghurt in less than 2 minutes and we enjoyed feeding each other as shown in the pictures. :)

East Coast Park again

East Coast Park again? Yes, we visited ECP again in less than a month’s time. Reason was because I simply love to cycle. As usual, daddy rents a bicycle for me and also a bicycle with a child seat for Qiqi.

We enjoyed riding the bicycle in the park and I even got to know a new friend and we chat a bit on the topic of bicycle. :)

As I am a Chinese food lover, western food to me is a no no except for French fries. But when mummy asked me do I want to have burger for dinner and my replied is yes. So we went to Burger King for dinner and when the burger was served to me, i refused to eat and only have french fries for the day. Worried that I may get hungry, mummy cooked a quick noodle soup for me when we reached home.

Polliwogs

I was happy when mummy told me that we are going to have a play date with Shannyn and Julian at Polliwogs on 3rd April.

Upon reaching, we were told that the air-con was broke down at the play area but since all of us were already there, we decided to go ahead. Think Qiqi was frightened by the strong blower when daddy brought her in previously to take a look at the play area while waiting for Aunty Jammie. So the moment we stepped in, Qiqi started to cry non-stop until mummy had to bring her out of the premise. After she had settled down, mummy tried to bring her in again but she totally refused to step in! The moment mummy opened the door, she started to cry. Daddy told mummy that I refused to play as well, so mummy had no choice but to ask for a refund based on the situation.

The staff was very helpful thus given us a full refund and off we went to Suntec City as there is this meet and greet Diego and Dora that was organized by Starhub Mobile in their anniversary fair. I looked forward to meet Diego cause I have been watching his DVDs and also has a few books of him.

After we left, Qiqi was back to herself and she looked happy playing around with me.

As we are early for the show, we do some craft work and while waiting to meet Diego, I am too tired and dozed off.

When the show started, mummy tried to wake me up but I am simply too tired and refused to wake up. So towards end of the show, mummy pushes me nearer to the stage and I was awaken by the loud noise. Maybe because I was still feeling tired, I prefer to sit at my stroller to watch Diego and Dora instead of going up the stage to meet them.

After the show ended, I saw this racing car at the fair and I immediately jumped down from my stroller and sit on it! See how much I love cars… Looked at me, I look serious in racing right?

After our dinner, we had yammi yogurt for dessert and while waiting to finish off the yogurt, me and qiqi had fun walking and squatting around. :-)

Numbers & Alphabets

I have been practicing to write my name over the past weeks. I start with tracing and shortly, i memorised the alphabets of my name. Now I can write my name and also numbers 1 to 9, but often, some of the numbers I wrote will turn out opposite especially for numbers 6 and 9.

I remember daddy’s hand phone number too cause everyday before I sleep, mummy will repeat the number again and again to me, and thus the numbers had already locked in my brain.

As for alphabets, I can recognize all the 26 alphabets and can say eg: A is for alligator, aeroplane and so on. Often, I can named at least 2 things and mummy is pleased that I am keen on learning cause often, mummy taught me in a fun way such as using the real objects to let me touch, smell, see, taste and hear (5 senses) whenever possible and I could say all these reinforce in my learning.

However, some of the things I need to improve on were:

1) To hold/grip the pen correctly ( I often preferred to use my own method despite being told to hold correctly)
2) Improved on my fine motor skills such as using a scissors
3) To starts learning phonics (mummy started teaching me but I show no interest in reading, but I prefer to watch or listen to songs & rhymes regarding phonics)

Busy week for mummy

During the whole of last week, mummy was a busy bee cause my great grandma was away to Taiwan for holidays. Mummy was thinking should we dine outside for our dinners? The answer was no cause firstly outside food was not as healthy as home-cooked food and also mummy missed having her own cooked food! So mummy had to do the groceries shopping and also a visit to the wet market by herself. Daddy comments that mummy’s cooking was yummy cause he hasn’t had the chance to eat since my great grandma was here (about 1.5 years) cause all our dinners were cooked by her.

And also mummy was busy packing all the unused baby stuffs to bring back to popo’s house over the weekend as our storage space was limited.

Aunty Annie's house

Mummy organized a gathering for the kids with Aunty Jacinda and Aunty Annie on last Friday, but too bad Aunty Jacinda couldn’t make it last minute.

When we reached Aunty Annie’s house, Rhea is taking her nap. So Qiqi and I start to play with her toys. Rhea is about 1 month older than Qiqi but she looks taller. She is an easy going and friendly toddler as compared to Qiqi, cause she can play with everyone! Looks like Qiqi have to learn from Rhea about her social skills. :)

Yu-Qi in my school uniform

When kakak is folding clothes, qiqi always messed up all the clothes that kakak had fold. So in order to distract qiqi, kakak will try qiqi on different clothing and here she is in my school uniform.
My uniform looks big on her right? Cause she was a petite girl as compared to me.

Qiqi will be turning 18mths in a month's time and she will be eligible for playgroup entry. But mummy has no intention to send her to any playgroup yet cause she feels that her immune system is still weak, moreover mummy can do the job of teaching her at home, so probably will send her after she turn 2 years old.

Breakfast at McDonald

It has been quite sometimes since we last had Mc Donald for breakfast. So mummy suggested we go for breakfast and followed by swimming at Aunty Louisa’s place on last Saturday.

I enjoyed the scrambled egg and pancakes and also enjoyed spreading the butter and pouring maple syrup into the pancakes all by myself. It was fun cause I can pour as much as I like! (of course i can heard mummy kept saying, “enough already”! As for Qiqi, she doesn’t really eat cause mummy had already fed her cereal before we went out.

When we reached the pool, it was also time for Qiqi to have her lunch. So mummy fed Qiqi and after she finished, she fall asleep because she had skipped her morning nap and therefore she couldn’t join us in the pool. This time round, daddy taught me to swim and we started on frog style cause Dr.Ong suggested me to go for swimming as it can strengthen my lungs. As most of the swimming lessons only starts at age 4, so I have to wait for another 8, 9 months before daddy could enroll me for a swimming lesson.

New look for Qiqi

Qiqi’s hair has grown longer now, so mummy and kakak likes to tie hair for her. Sometimes she will sit still and has her hair tied but most of the time she will either walk away during half way or refused to let us touch her hair.
And when you asked her to show us “美美”, she will put her hand on the face and shown us her”美美” look! (refer to the 2nd collage)

A visit to our PD

I have been coughing since last Saturday and mummy is very worried that my cough will trigger to wheezing and thus monitored me closely on top of giving me Ventolin and Flixotide puff.

Sadly, mummy heard me wheezing last night before I sleep, so she decided to bring me to my PD this morning and also to bring Yu-Qi along for her MMRV vaccination.
Dr.Ong had shifted from SBCC to ICAC at Mount Alvernina Medical centre. As there are 3 doctors in the same clinic, so the clinic was very packed with patients when we arrived. As I am wheezing, therefore we can get to see the doctor 1st even without appt (is this a good thing? keke).

We waited for a about ½ hour before we could see Dr.Ong and Dr.Ong was surprised that I wheeze again even though I am on Flixotide (a puff for preventing cough and wheezing). He comments that my condition is not well controlled and shows mummy the methods of using the puff again. He also mentioned that I have to be on Singulair for a month and told me that I am an expensive baby (jokingly), so he asked me to be Doctor when I grow up so that I can earn more money! This round he told mummy to increase the dosage but don’t need to be on nebulizer, so daddy got to save a bit on the medical bill as the medicine for nebulizer isn’t cheap too. Mummy comments that I am an expensive baby cause I spend quite a sum of money on my medical bill this few years and I hope that I can outgrow this soon and be a stronger and healthy boy!

Yu-Qi smiles happily when mummy take pictures of her not knowing that she will be given a jab soon :) Mummy decided to let Yu-Qi have MMRV which combines the attenuated virus MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) vaccine with the addition of chickenpox vaccine.

Yu-Qi is not an easy toddler, she refused to co-operate when the nurse wants to take her weight and temperature, so mummy had to hold her tight and force her to take her temp thus resulting a crying Qiqi.. And also when Dr.Ong used the stethoscope on her, she cries as well and her crying continues and stops only after the jab.

Yu-Qi weighs 9.6kg as at 16months 2 weeks and mummy was pleased with her weight gain. Although she is petite as compared to me, but being healthy is the most important :)

East Coast Park

The weather hasn’t been good lately as it was raining most of the time. We headed to East Coast Park on Wednesday evening as it was a sunny day. Mummy packed the necessary stuff while we are napping and set off after 2 of us have waked up.

Qiqi was the happiest person whenever we went out. Upon reaching, we have some snacks 1st to fill our little tummy. Daddy rented a bicycle to fetch us and knowing that we will snatch the seat for sure, mummy told daddy to rent a children bicycle for me since I can ride well and thus prevent two of us from snatching and screaming.

Fyi, both of us can really scream well when comes to snatching even with adults supervision! My little sister is well known for chillipadi, cause she will screamed and pull my hair/kick me/hit me when she couldn’t get the things she want. I am sure our neighbours can hear our screaming pretty well and luckily all the 4 units at our levels are corner unit, otherwise mummy will hear complains from neighbours for sure!

This is my rented bicycle. I followed daddy and ride around in the park and whenever daddy ride faster than me, I will shout “hey, wait for me!” :)

We enjoyed sitting and riding the bicycle cause we can feel the breeze on our face.

Here we are building sand castle with mummy and kakak. Fyi, Qiqi refused to bare her foot on the beach because of the sandy feeling. Was told by mummy that when I was around the same age as Qiqi, I also refused to bare my foot when go to the beach :)

We spend about 3 hours at the park and have our late dinner at around 8pm because I refused to leave the park. I told daddy that I wants to come back again cause I enjoyed myself. We also spend some time at the playground beside Mcdonalds before mummy told us it is late and is time to go home!

Fun-filled weekend

Went to Woodlands library on last saturday cause daddy has a task there. While waiting for daddy, we went to the children's section to browse through books and also to borrowed some books home. Currently, i fancy books that has wheels.. be it any types :-)

As we had planned to go to East Coast park after library visit, but it was raining when we reached, so we detour to Parkway Parade for shopping and dinner. After dinner, i saw this craft work and i told daddy i want to do painting and thus chosen an aeroplane. Qiqi joined in the fun too and it was such a mess with all the paints around our hands and even on her cardigan. Look at my aeroplane, isn't it colourful?

We were invited to Aunty Sharon's house on the 2nd last day of CNY for a mini gathering.

We had pot-luck for dinner and we enjoyed ourselves because we can get to play with our friends, get to eat so many foods, get to talk to some of them esp Clara, as we had a kids conversation according to kakak while we were playing..

After our dinner, all the children were given a mini ice-cream cone for dessert! It was yummy and although Qiqi gave us a weird look after her first taste of the ice-cream, but she still managed to finished all by herself!

As it was Aunty Bear's lunar birthday tomorrow, so mummy and the rest of the aunties bought a cake to celebrate for her:-)

Thanks Aunty Sharon for inviting cause we enjoyed ourselves, too bad time always passes quickly, else we would like to stay longer!

CNY 2010 恭喜发财

Gong Xi Fa Cai! We wish all of you a prosperous new year!

Before CNY, mummy had already taught me how to Gong Xi Gong Xi and also said thank you when receiving red packets from elders:) Fyi, Qiqi can Gong Xi Gong Xi too when prompted. Basically for the first 3 days, we were busy with travelling around to pai nian.

For day 1, we went to my 太公&外太婆’s house for pai nian.
I was very friendly throughout the day cause I can interact well with everyone. I was like a 开新果to all! One of my uncle even asked me to pick up four lucky numbers for them but too bad, the luck isn’t there.. During the night, my cousin, Ziv and his family came to our house to pai nian and I was so shy and refused to play with him. It was a happy day for me because I received many red packets and also ate many CNY goodies :)

For day 2, we went to my 姨婆，another外太婆 (fyi, I have two 外太婆) and my 老姑婆’s house.
姨婆 prepared a sumptuous lunch for all of us but too bad, I wasn’t interested at all. Luckily mummy fed me some noodle soup before we headed to pai nian. Both me and Qiqi enjoyed playing with the hamster at 姨婆’s house and I even hold and kiss the hamster! As for Qiqi, she is willing to hold the hamster for merely two seconds before dropping the hamster and luckily mummy is quick enough to save the hamster!

As for day 3, mummy woke us earlier cause we are going to爷爷&婆婆’s house to pai nian! I was so happy and looking forward to play with all my cousins before the day. We left home at 8.45am and reached there around 11am and we have early lunch cause we will be heading to pai nian with all my cousins after that. Guess how many houses we visited in day 3? It was 10 houses, amazing right? We also need 3 MPVs to accomondate all of us:) Although we are super tired, but we are happy cause we received LOADS of red packets :)

On the evening on day 3, we have another re-union dinner (mummy’s family). According to mummy, they had steamboat for re-union dinner on the third day of CNY every year without changes. As for this year, in addition of steamboat, we also had bbq food such as slice pork, sotong etc which was specially grilled by 四姨丈&四姨。

On day 4, 舅舅invited his employees to 婆婆’s house for buffet dinner. It was another yearly event during CNY. Same as last year, we had a satay man specially grilled the satay and served to us while it was hot!
While the adults were busy with eating, I play mahjong with my cousins. Look at my face, do I look serious in gambling? As for this year, mummy had more free time to play mahjong as compared to last year where she needs to constantly express her breast milk for Qiqi.

We stayed at 婆婆’s house from 年初三till 年初八 and I missed my classes for 3 days. I even told mummy that long time I didn’t go to school! We were supposed to come back to S’pore in the morning of 初八 cause we were invited to Thaddeus 1st birthday party in the afternoon but due to over slept, thus we can’t make it on time. Sorry Thaddeus, mummy will pass u the red packet soon :)

Fyi, I lack of sleep badly during the CNY. Averagely I only sleep at around 1am everyday cause no one sleep earlier than me beside Qiqi! Luckily it was only for a few days and now my bedtime was back to usual.

When mummy asked me what we celebrate in the school and i told her we played games and i even won a prize in the games!

Julian's 3rd birthday

We were invited to Julian’s 3rd birthday party on 7th Feb at McDonald’s Queensway, Ridout Tea Garden by Aunty Jammie.

The party starts from 1-3pm and when we reached, we were given stickers with our names and shortly, daddy and mummy’s food was served and me and Qiqi were directed to the kid’s dining area for our happy meal lunch! After we finished our meals, I participated in the games and I even won two prizes in the treasure hunt games.
Again, happy birthday to Julian and stay good health and thanks Aunty Jammie for inviting us cause we had a great time!

West Coast Mall

Last Saturday was our first visit to West Coast Plaza. There is this event where you spend $50 and a child will be entitled to a fun-filled time at the kids’ workshop and activities.

Too bad the workshop had closed at 6pm, so I only get to play with the aqua bubble pool and inflatable tunnel playground. As daddy forgot to bring his camera, so mummy only snapped a few pictures of me in the inflatable playground using her lousy handphone, lol. As for the aqua bubble pool, daddy comments that it is too dirty and smelly for me to go in, and also i refused to go in too, so we passed the ticket to other kids who is interested in playing.

Chinatown

CNY is just around the corner, so we went to Chinatown yesterday evening to have a walk and also to feel the atmosphere!

Ever since daddy and mummy is together, they will make a trip to Chinatown every year without fail :) But last year is an exception cause qiqi is still young and mummy preferred not to go to crowded places.

There are so many stalls selling different kinds of food, from peanuts, candies, mo chi, jelly, cuttlefish, chinese sausages, deco, clothing etc. We get to sample different kind of mochi and jelly on the street and the jelly is yummy!

Went to Kiddy Palace on last sat because mummy wants to get a pair of new shoe for Qiqi. While mummy is busy selecting the design, Qiqi constantly walk towards mummy and smile to her, meaning telling mummy, look at me, am I cute with this hair band/ hat?

Nowadays, Qiqi will always look at the mirror and smile to herself because she is getting more 爱美. Whenever mummy put her with hair bands, hair clips, new clothes or wearing bags, she will automatically walk to the mirror and smiles.

At 14months, she has already showing us the terrible two. She will always scream or cry whenever she can’t get the things she want and sometimes mummy had no choice but to give in cause we couldn’t stand her. Hopefully this is just a phase and will pass soon! She will bully me too, whenever I was trying to take the things from her hands, she will snatch hard and beat me or even try to kick me! Fyi, my this dear sis is quite fierce and daddy said her temper is same as mummy :)

Qiqi has her cute way of course! Every morning she will come to my bed and kisses me and called me “gor-gor”, although the pronunciation is not perfect, but somehow I can understand.

Fidgets again..

Without me knowing, mummy brought Qiqi to Fidgets on 14 Jan after sending me to school. Mummy prefers not to let me know because she knows that I will insist following them and refused to attend school.

They went to Mc donald for lunch and zoom to Fidgets because short of time. During weekday afternoon, there is no crowd at all, so Qiqi really enjoyed herself. This time round, she is more active in playing and even running at the playground as compared to the previous time when we are there.

Whenever mummy or kakak is busy, qiqi will be placed in her playard. She hates to be stay inside and most of the time, she will yell and refused to go in cause she prefer to walk around the house. And normally mummy will placed some toys in the playard so that qiqi can play with and keeps her entertained.

One day, mummy was thinking why qiqi was so quiet and to her surprised, mummy saw qiqi sitting at the mini supermarket trolley! Mummy and kakak had a good laugh and they said qiqi was so cute sitting inside the trolley and luckily the trolley didn't breaks :)

Brandon & Evan gor-gor's birthday

We celebrated Brandon & Evan gor-gor’s birthday on 9th Jan at Er yi’s new place. It was also a gathering for mummy, eryi and shiyi because it has been a long time since they last met and we had steamboat for dinner.
The steamboat was yummy and the ingredient includes drunken prawn, fresh catch sotong by shiyi zhang, clam, abalone, sliced beef & pork, all sorts of balls & mushrooms, big clam, cockles etc. The feeling was like having re-union dinner according to mummy.

Needless to say, I enjoyed myself because I can get to play with my cousins and I even skipped my afternoon nap! But towards 7pm+, I was too tired and knocked out while I am having my dinner : - )

As we stayed late at eryi’s place, therefore qiqi only get to sleep at around 11pm+ where she usually goes to bed at 9pm. This is the first time she sleep so late but mummy foresee that more late nights will be coming as CNY is approaching :-)

New home for my fishes

Remember that i have fishes as my pet? Well, they have new home now and the environment is so much better than their previous home. Thanks to daddy for upgrading their home and i really enjoyed looking and taking care of them.
Every morning i will switch on the lights for them and feed them fish food. Qiqi will followed what i do and when she heard mummy said, go feed fish, she will automatically open one of the cabinet and take out the fish food and a spoon and walk to the fish tank :-)

My birthday celebration in school

All along mummy wants to let me celebrates my birthday in school but my birthday is on Dec which also coincides with school holidays. So if were to celebrate earlier on the last day of the school which was on mid Nov, mummy felt that it is far too early and I may confused myself when exactly is my birthday!

So we celebrated on 5th Jan, the second day after school re-open. On the night before, I help mummy packed the goodie bags for my classmates and while packing, I also help myself with the snacks! Qiqi also joined us on the packing but she mess up more instead!

After daddy & mummy send me to school, they went to collect my birthday cake and returned before my lunch time.

Here we are washing our hands after we went to toilet. I am so happy when I saw daddy and mummy reached my classroom with the cake and the goodie bags. Fyi, I kept smiling throughout the day, probably because I have been looking forward for this day for so long! Keke

My form teacher, Ms Hannah makes an announcement in my class about my birthday celebration and does a prayer before our lunch and cake cutting.

All my classmate surrounds me and sing the birthday song for me and fyi, I blow the candle immediately when the English birthday song was ended not knowing that another language of birthday song will be sing as well.. Think I am too excited about cutting and eating the cake!

Hair trim

Go-go bambini

As my school will be re-open on 4th Jan, therefore mummy suggested bringing us to go-go bambini on 30th Dec. So mummy asked aunty Chantelle and Jammie along but unfortunately, they couldn’t make it so mummy asked the Nov mummies and Aunty Zelia, E-wen, Lingling, Janie and Cass can make it!

We are supposed to meet up with our friends at 3pm, but we reached slightly earlier and I can’t wait to play when reached. I told mummy quick, change to socks and play!

There are slides, flying fox, ballpits, tunnels, two climbing walls, interactive panels and a ball blower at go-go bambini and both qiqi and I enjoyed ourselves. Fyi, qiqi is more adventurous than me cause she can climb non-stop and also can climb to the highest levels! She also tried most of the equipment there and refused to rest even though she was tired!

Overall it is fun to play at go-go bambini but the space is limited as compared to Fidgets. Mummy said the next in the list is to Polliwog and I am looking forward for the day to come. :-)

X'mas party part 2

Thanks Aunty E-wen for celebrating both Charlene and my 3rd birthday on 27th Dec together with the X’mas party. I am older than Charlene by a few days and her birthday is on 3rd Jan.

Aunty E-wen ordered a cake from Coffee Bean and we all love the cake because we get to decorate the cake with the jelly sweets and M&M chocolates which was provided. It was fun decorating the cake with other children and when we had finished with our deco, the happy birthday wording was covered with all the sweets and Aunty E-wen had to re-deco a bit :-)

X'mas Party Part 1

We were invited by Aunty E-wen to her house for X’mas party on 27 Dec. We were the 1st to reach her place and shortly after we reached, Aunty Sharon and he 2 princesses were next to arrived.

Aunty E-wen’s house got loads of toys and all the kiddos enjoyed playing with her kitchen set from Little Tikes because it was so interesting! Qiqi especially loves the coffee pot and keep pouring and asked me to drink :-)

I enjoy watching the train goes round and round with Zachary and also aiming for the presents under the X'mas tree cause all of us have a gift exchange :)

My 3rd Birthday

Happy 3rd birthday to myself :-)

Daddy and mummy celebrated my 3rd birthday on Christmas day in M’sia with all my cousins and mummy’s immediate family members. Mummy was supposed to order a cake from Secret Recipe but she was late, therefore they can’t take in my order in time as they required 4 working days. Although there are other bakeries in Muar, but they don’t produce nice cake like Secret Recipe. How? The person from Secret Recipe advised us to choose a cake and they will use the ready design icing (only left BEN 10 design) to do on the spot. That means the cake will have no cream at all and don’t look nice. Anyway, mummy feels that having a yummy cake is more important than the look, so mummy decided to get my cake there.

So on Christmas day, mummy ordered 4 large pizzas through delivery and bought KFC and birthday cake for my birthday celebration. Mummy also made some agar-agar because all of us love to eat! All my cousins enjoyed the food but I only enjoyed French fries.

Daddy bought me a Thomas & Friends Wellsworth station electronic playset cause it can connects with my other Thomas & Friends playset, and also I have a bicycle, fire trucks, aeroplane and a train set as my presents!

Two weeks stay at Yeh Yeh's house

We were back to yeh yeh & po po’s house in M’sia from 13-26 Dec for holidays! It is a must for us to go back during the school holidays because Qiqi and I get to play with our many cousins and I especially like the big land that we can run about! We chosen this timing to go back is because mummy wants to celebrate X’mas with popo (popo is a Christian) and also to celebrate my 3rd birthday there.

What have we done during the two weeks?

Of course is play, play and still play! Fyi, I fell down THRICE in popo’s house :( First fall can consider minor, just a bit of bruises.. Second fall was quite bad, with a big patch of scar at my leg and the third fall was severe because I fell into the drain from my bicycle and when mummy saw me, my mouth was full of blood! My shirt is soak with blood and I cried like hell and kept on saying, “I fell into the drain, I fell into the drain”. Mummy was panic when she saw the blood kept on dripping from my mouth and she thought that my teeth was broken, but she was unsure cause there is no way to check nor see as I refused to open my mouth and what she can see is only blood. Therefore popo told mummy to apply some sugar and after a while, the blood has gradually stop and mummy noticed there was a big cut on my gum area. Luckily I can still have my dinner as per normal because it wasn’t painful after that. But on the next day, my gum was swollen but the swell had subsided at the end of the day.

Popo bought me a bicycle for my birthday present and I love it! I ride on it everyday and could fetch qiqi as well. She loves to sit on the back seat but always wanted to come down just after few seconds.

Hahaha… Can u guess who this little girl is? Mummy was so bad that she insist putting on the wig for me although I refused to let her do so! They all really had a good laugh when they saw me with the wig and mummy quickly snap a few pictures of me before i pull the wig down.

Does Qiqi looks pretty in these pictures? I think yes but her hair is really messy ;-)

Eating glutinous rice ball is a must for冬至. So on the night before, 婆婆make the dough and all the jiejie helps to 搓汤圆and I also joined in to have fun. We made green, red and white color 汤圆 and although it smells good, but I refused to eat any single ball after it is cooked.

Qiqi loves to swim more than me because she will always struggle to go down the pool even before mummy had changed her! Look at her with goggles, she looks so cute with it right :)

Wild Wild Wet

10 Dec was our 1st visit to Wild Wild Wet and we went with Lewei, Doven, Elva jie-jies and Bryan, Brandon & Evan gor-gors. All of us are excited because it was our 1st time there and it looks fun to play with!

We reach there around 3pm and daddy got us the entrance tickets at a special price. All of us quickly get changed and can’t wait to go down to play.

We met Aunty Peiling, her hubby and Jalen at wild wild wet too! It was so coincidence to see them there.

As the weather is very hot when we reached, therefore mummy not allowed qiqi to go down the water and look at her angry face below.. lol But towards the evening, mummy decided to let qiqi to have a dip in the tsunami wave and she enjoyed so much! She enjoyed the slides too as you can see from the pictures below. As for me, hehe, I think the picture says a thousand words. ;-) Both qiqi and I spend most of our time playing at the Professor’s playground, Yippee and Shiok river cause other rides are not suitable for us.

Fyi, mummy enjoyed the rides as well, she play slide up and Ular-lar. For slide up, it was like plunging from a four-storey ramp and up again and according to mummy, this slide was scary because after her 1st attempt, she refused to play it again even though all the jie-jies and gor-gors kept asking mummy to go up again!

It was really an enjoyable water play for all of us, especially my jie-jies and gor-gors because they play till the last ride of the day which was 7pm!
As both of us didn’t take our afternoon nap and once we are placed in our stroller, we fall asleep immediately! Can you imagine how tired we are. :-)

Christmas lighting at Orchard Road

A visit to the Orchard road during Christmas season is a must for us. Cause the lighting is beautiful and also the atmosphere of the festive seasons along Orchard road is great!

We went there after our dinner on 8 Dec with Le wei and Doven jiejies and daddy captured some nice photos for all of us. As we don’t want to stay too late cause qiqi need to sleep at around 9pm, therefore we just took some pictures in front of ION Orchard, Isetan Scotts and Wheelock place. Mummy remembers that Tanglin Mall has snows every year (it is snowing bubbles) and decided to rush there to catch the snows..

We were so lucky that we were in time for the “snow” play! I remember that I wasn’t keen to join in the “snow” play last year but this year I am keen. All of us were thrilled when it is snowing, even mummy too. Fyi, the “snow” is actually foam created by pumping soap+water into the air.

Nov Babies Birthday Bash

We attended Nov babies’ birthday bash on 6 Dec at Singtel Recreation Club which was organized by S’pore motherhood forum Nov thread mummies. Mummy was one of the committee members and she was in-charge of both the cakes and jelly cakes.

The theme of the birthday bash is Mickey & Minnie because qiqi and her friends are born in the year of rat. The birthday bash starts at 1pm but we arrived earlier at around 12pm cause mummy wanted to help out on the deco and so we brought along qiqi’s lunch and feed her there. Daddy also helps out a little on the deco and balloons.

The food was delicious, entertainments for the kiddos are great and the present for qiqi is unique! There are Thomas pool, whale pool, tots tunnel climber, LT slides etc for us to play with and I simply loves Thomas pool because it was my favorite cartoon character! As for qiqi, she prefers Tots tunnel climber and the LT slides.

As for the cakes, we had a 3kg cake (Lychee martini and orange zest flavor) from Pine Garden with Mickey & friend’s cake topper and also the yummy jelly cakes from Mrs Chan.

During the half way of the birthday bash, qiqi was a little cranky because she was sleepy, therefore kakak feed her milk and she fall asleep after that. When is time for cake cutting, mummy had no choice but to woke qiqi up so that she won’t missed out in the group pictures.

This birthday bash was a huge success because everyone enjoyed themselves.. From daddies, mummies, the little ones to their siblings! Needless to say, both qiqi and me enjoyed too! We brought home Mylar balloons, Mickey n Minnie latex balloons, qiqi’s personalized gift & Huggies pull-up pants. (sponsored from Huggies)

A trip to the zoo on 5 Dec

I was thrilled when both my cousins came to my place for 2 weeks stay during this holiday! Meaning that both me and qiqi have more people to play with, yippee!
Lewei and Doven jie jies arrived at my place on 4 Dec and mummy suggested a trip to the zoo on 5 Dec with Shi yi and family! Too bad, Er yi cannot join us, else I am sure it will be more fun with more people :-)
The last time I visited the zoo was on March 2008. I don’t remember I visited the zoo before cause I was just 15months then! But now, I can understand and able to tell the names of the animals. Not all but at least some of them.

Pneumoccocal Jab

Qiqi had her 3rd which is also her last pneumoccocal jab on 2 Dec. She is a brave girl cause she only cried for a few seconds after the jab :)
She weighs 8.8kg and 74cm long as at 12mths 3 weeks. Her weight is around 65th percentile while her height is around 50th percentile. PD said there is no worries for both her weight and height and mummy is happy for Yu-Qi's health development. The next jab for qiqi will be when she turns 15mths.

Yu-Qi's Lunar birthday

十月十四 is Yu-Qi's lunar birthday. Tai-ma and ah-ma prepared some food for pai-pai, and here are the mee sua + eggs, home-made ang ku kueh, 年糕 and some fruits.

Qiqi had some mee sua with eggs on her lunar birthday.

There are pen, book, stethoscope, calculater, $notes, egg and ang ku kueh for qiqi to choose, guess which one had she chosen?

Claryce 1st Birthday Party

We were invited to Claryce's 1st birthday party on 28 Nov by Aunty Chantelle. It was a great party cause there are so many toys to keep both myself and mei-mei entertained!

The theme of the party is Minnie Mouse and you could see from the pictures that there are so many Minnie stuff! From personalised Minnie banner, figurines, jelly cake, backdrop, balloons, air walker, party favor, paper plates etc!

Aunty Chantelle brought some of her toys to set up a corner for the children and indeed we enjoyed very much especially the slides. Fyi, Yu-qi keep smiling when she slides down :-)

Oh ya, i am so glad to meet Aunty Jammie, Julian and Joelle again after our last date to Fidgets.. It was nice meeting them again and i enjoyed playing with Julian, we even had a conversation!

As for the jelly cake, i ate 2 pcs of it cause i simply loves jelly cake! When i finished, i even told mummy that "somemore pls" and mummy asked me to ask Aunty Chantelle for it but i didn't, see how shy i am!

Avillion resort, Port Dickson

We went to Avillion Resort at Port Dickson for a 2 nights stay from 20-22 Nov. It was a short trip for us to relax, and yes, it is for us cause most of the activities are plan for us :-)

We stayed at the premium water chalet and indeed we have a very nice view of the sea from our balcony! We feel that as if we are onboard a cruise..

The bathroom from the chalet is special cause it is an open top bathroom! When we shower at the standing shower, we could look up the sky and can feel the breeze!

There are kids cabin at the resort which is a colorful cabin that offers a large array of fun features for the children including paint supplies, books, DVDs, video games consoles and toys as well as padded playground for the little ones to have fun! I enjoyed playing the blocks in the kids cabin!

There is also a pet farm that both me and mei-mei enjoyed very much cause we get to feed the pets! There are peacocks, rabbits, guinea-pigs, doves, chicks etc. Mummy was surprised that I am willing to get near the pets and even feed them!

And needless to say, how can we go without a dip in the pool and beaches at a resort?We went for a swim at the kid’s pool and also have fun building sand castles at the beaches. Overall we enjoyed very much and I look forward for more holidays!

Changi Airport

Last Sat we went to Changi Airport to fetch daddy cause he has been away for a short trip. We reached earlier so mummy brought us to the viewing hall to view aeroplanes. As afternoon is not the peak hours for aeroplanes to take off n landing, thus we have to wait for a while before we could see 1 or 2 aeroplanes only.
Mei-mei is not interested in viewing the aeroplanes at all and she is only interested in pushing my stroller :)

There is this big snow fantasy at T3, departure check-in hall where there is this giant slides for children to bounce and slides. Needless to say, i refused to play cause i afraid of the heights. So i went to the playground besides the bouncer to play instead :)

On the actual day of mei-mei’s birthday, mummy bought a small Hello Kitty cake for her and of course not forgetting me, she also bought one Bob The Builder cake for me :-)

Mei-mei seems to like the cake and keep on touching the cake with her fingers! When we sing birthday song for her, she is happy and keeps on clapping her hands!

Yu-Qi's 1st Birthday Party

Mei-mei’s birthday party was held on 8 Nov, Sunday at the club house at Parc Oasis, thanks to Aunty Chantelle for booking the room for us :-)

The theme of the party is Hello Kitty because mummy thinks that since mei-mei is a girl, she wants to do some girly theme for her! Mummy ordered most of the party stuff like balloons, HK table cloth, HK party hats, HK cupcake rings, HK candle etc from babykidsworld and had them delivered the balloons to us on the actual day. Daddy also rented some toys like tot tunnel climber, LT slides and a rocking horse to entertain the kids and all the kids (including me and mei-mei) had fun playing with them! As for the cakes, mummy ordered a 2kg cake (lychee martini and triple layer chocolate flavor) + 8 cupcakes from Pine Garden and also had them delivered to us to save the hassle to drive to AMK to collect. Mummy also ordered a Hello Kitty jelly cake and it was so yummy that I ate few slices!

Year-end concert 2009

On 7th Nov, my Kindergarten is having graduation ceremony cum year-end concert. I am performing in the concert for the song of “Glorious God” with my classmates. I have been singing and practicing at home and even mummy and kakak can also sing the song with me! On the actual day, I was grouchy when I reached school and I even cried when daddy left me, the main reason is because I was awaken earlier than usual! But after a while, I have settled down and prepared myself to get ready for the performance.

Overall I enjoyed myself at the concert and I am glad to see daddy and mummy came and support me! Although we have got the dvd that mummy ordered, but mummy doesn't know how to edit, so can't share with u all. But there are some photos to share below :-)

Yu-Qi can walk unsupported

Yu qi walk earlier than me. At 11 months, she can walk unsupported whereas I only walk at 13 months. I guess maybe because she is lighter and that’s the reason she can walk before she turns 1. Refer to the video, she likes to walk fast although she is not 100% stable and we were so afraid that she will fall down! I am glad that she can walk now cause there will be more activities for us to play with!

Brush teeth by myself

Hehe, finally at the age of 33 months, i am willing and able to brush my teeth all by myself! Mummy told me to brush my teeth twice a day, once in the morning before breakfast and once in the night before sleep but most of the time, I only brushed whenever I like, opps..

Mummy said it is time to look around for mei-mei’s party dress. Hmm, where to get a nice dress? We shop around at Isetan, CK Tang and Paragon and at the end, bought a dress from CK Tang.

Yu-qi is like a model cause mummy keep changing her to different dress and see which dress suits her best. Initially she was ok with changing, but after a while she gets sick of it and keeps on making noise and even cried when mummy tries to change her! I remember mummy even changed her outside the shop cause she simply refused to stay inside the shops!

Ordering of birthday cake

One week before Yu-qi’s birthday celebration, we went to Pine Garden to order her birthday cake. Mummy brought Hello Kitty candle and cup cake rings that she bought from online to pass to the bakery as Yu-qi’s birthday cake is Hello Kitty theme. What flavor to select? Hmm, we chosen lychee martini and triple layer chocolate flavor for the birthday cake and also add in 8 chocolate cupcakes. (Fyi, my 1st birthday cake also from Pine Garden with same flavor!) Total cost for the cake is $125 and mummy said the price is pretty reasonable for a 2kg cake. While waiting for mummy to order the cake, daddy bought 2 slices of cakes to filled his big and my little tummy, look at my lips area, all is coated with chocolate!
After ordered the cake, we proceed to Middle road because mummy wants to top up some party supplies. As the party shops are very small and crowded, so we stay at the nearby shopping centre waiting for mummy and also to take our powerful nap there.

Computer keyboards

Yu-qi simply loves pressing the keyboards nowadays. Whenever she saw mummy sitting in front of the computer, she will make noise and hints you that she wants to sit on mummy’s lap. And whenever she is up at the chair, she will anyhow pressed and most of the time, she will help mummy switch to stand-by mode! Look at her, she looks so happy playing with the keyboards.

Euan's 1st Birthday

On 25th October, we were invited to Euan’s 1st birthday party at Simei. When we reached the function room, there was so much noise from the kids because they were having fun playing with the toys! Aunty Cass had rented some toys which includes inflatable bounce house, tot tunnel climber, Little Tikes climb & slide castle and she bought some of her own toys along. Good idea Aunty Cass had and mummy was thinking to rent some toys for Yu-qi’s birthday party as well :-)

Both of us are so busy exploring the toys and it really keeps us entertained!

On 17th Oct, we were invited to second 1st birthday party in a month. There are 1 more to come on this Sunday :) Yu-qi is honoured to be invited by her friends and i am happy that i can get my goodie bag, keke..

Here is the birthday boy, Darwin. We wish Darwin Happy 1st Birthday and 快高长大:) The theme of the party is Sesame Street and the birthday cake is from Pine Garden with orange zest flavour! It is refreshing and it taste nice! Too bad, mummy never get to taste Rhea's birthday cake..

Asta is a pretty girl and she looks like 14, 15 mths toddler and Euan can walk very well and stable just like a toddler. Fyi, Euan has not turn 1 year old but he can walk pretty well! Well done Euan!

And my little mei-mei.. Mummy said it is very tiring looking after her now. Why? Cause she can just walk non-stop for the whole day! Once she woke up, she can just walk and walk and the only time that she is not walking is either meal time or sleeping time :)

We were invited to Rhea's 1st birthday party on 11 Oct. Time flies, i remember when Rhea was just born, we went to visit her and Aunty Annie at TMC and now she has turn 1 year old :-)
The theme of the party was Fun at One girl and most of the deco is pink color!

Popo's house

We always enjoyed going back to popo's house cause we can play with our cousins! And needless to say is the big area that we can run about. Nowadays yu-qi will insist sitting on the tricyle when she saw it and refused to come down and she enjoyed so much while being pushed around.

With my cousins, Cao Kin and Zun Jie gor gor. I love to play them more than the girls now cause we are all boys!

And this is Yu-Qi and our cousin, Fiona, who is about 3 months younger than yu-qi. Fiona is such a chubby baby as compared to qi-qi :-)

Mid-Autumn Festival 2

On the actual day of 八月十五, we were back to popo's house. Popo's house had a mini celebration for 中秋节 and they prepared lots of food which includes mooncake, durian, fruits, satay, etc! I enjoyed going back to popo's house cause i can play with my cousins and fyi, i can play till i perspired badly and soak my shirt!
On the days of leaving, i actually cried and insist jie-jies to follow me back!

Mid-Autumn Festival 1

After my hair cut, we went to Chinatown to see Mid-Autumn festival light-up. During this festival, there is also a festive street night bazaar selling traditional festive goodies such as mooncakes, pomelos and lanterns. We can feel the atmosphere of the festival along the night bazaar because there are so many different types of lantern. Daddy bought qi-qi a Hello Kitty lantern and a Barney aeroplane lantern for me. Both of us enjoyed playing with the lantern cause there is lights and music when we on the button :-)

My new hair cut

Hohoho…. I think most of you will be surprised that I am now willing to sit still and let my hairstylist cut my hair! Yes, you are right and it is true that at the age of 33 months, finally I can accept that having a hair cut is such an enjoyable thing! My hairstylist was very surprised that I am willing to sit down and have my hair cut! She even asked daddy what did daddy told me, how come there is such a drastic change this round as compared to the last round where I just yell and cry non-stop throughout my hair cut! Hmm, daddy only told me that after my hair cut, he will buy me a car and that’s it, nothing else. Think the main reason is that I have grown up these days and I am more willing to accept changes. Both daddy and mummy was thrilled when they saw me co-operate so well :-)

Qi-qi keep looking at me while I am having my hair cut, maybe she is thinking to have a hair trim as well? Mummy said most likely she will need some trimming on her hair before her birthday in order to look neater.

Super Imports Night

Two weeks ago, daddy brought me to Singapore‘s leading aftermarket parts and accessories show which is held at Expo. Think most of you know that we are car lovers and that’s the reason we visited the show! We stayed at the show for about 2 hours and when daddy told me it is time to leave, I refused and keep saying that I want to stay back and watch the cars. (It shows how much I love cars right?) Fyi, I can now differentiate sports car and normal car by the exhaust noise and the outlook of the cars.
Mummy think it is rather boring looking at the cars, so she brought qi-qi to John Little expo sale for shopping instead. So did she get any good buys? Yes, she bought toys and clothing for us and she mentioned that the queue for payment is super long! She said it is worth it anyway :-)

Most of the time I will not let mei-mei play with my toys while I CAN play with her toys!! It was so unreasonable right? So whenever I see mei-mei sitting in my car or play with my toys, I will said: mei-mei, don’t take, it is mine! But I am now learning to share my toys with mei-mei, otherwise I will not get to play her toys. I will now take other toys and try to exchange with her so that she will let go my toys and most of the time it works! Tell you something, mei-mei is not so gentle as well, she will snatch with me and sometimes she will hold the toys so tightly till I couldn’t even win her! She is smart too, she will cry or whine when she couldn’t win me.. hehe
Here we are riding our own car and I will purposely ride and bang her! Look at the bottom picture, initially we were happily playing together but after a while, mei-mei messed up my blocks and I was so mad! Look at my angry and sad face..

Latest favorite activity of mei-mei.. She likes to dig her nose when she has nothing to do!! It was so unsightly right? We have no clue where she learned from but mummy think the (role model) is me because I love to dig nose too. So perhaps after seeing me digging my nose repeatedly, mei-mei followed me!

Relax @ pool

It has been a while since we last visited the pool. So mummy suggests going for a swim and she is sure that yu-qi will enjoyed because she loves to play with water! Since she is a month old, she loves to be bath because everytime she will lie down quietly :-)

Today is her 2nd time to a pool and she is so excited to go down to the pool when we just reached even though mummy hasn’t changed her! Look at her smiley face in the 1st picture!

As for me, I don’t like to swim because everytime when we visited the pool, I will just sit at a corner and play with the cups and bowls! Even though with a float, I am also not keen to sit on it unlike other children :-)

Nowadays, yu-qi likes to play with the staircase. When mummy brought her for a walk outside the corridor, she will show us her interest to walk up the staircase and mummy will support her. So when she saw the staircase at the pool, she also wants to walk up or rather climb up..

HortPark

Daddy asked me do I want to visit butterfly garden, and of course my answer is YES! So on two Saturday ago, we went to Botanic gardens (daddy thought the butterfly garden is located at Botanic gardens), then only we were told that butterfly garden is located at HortPark, the gardening hub at Alexandra. So we make our turn there and the weather is super hot in the afternoon!

HortPark is a gardening hub where it has a collection of 20 theme gardens which include Herb & Spice garden, Water garden, Fruit tree & Fruited Vegetable garden, Orchid corner etc.

There was an event on Science in the garden where you play to learn and learn to play. I get to do some art and craft such as butterfly and also a flower fan with the help of mummy and daddy.

Mummy said the butterfly garden is quite small but to me it is big enough already. I get to see so many butterflies and dragonflies flying around!

And this is the edible yard. I feel like plucking them when I saw it :)

Fidgets

Last Wednesday we went to Fidgets at Turf City with my friends, Shannyn, Julian, Claryce and Joelle. It is a nice outing as all of us enjoyed ourselves! All of us are full of energy where we can play from 1pm till 6pm!

I enjoy playing slides nowadays! Look at this slide, isn’t it steep? Mummy said she is scared to slide down and I told her, quick, carry me and slide down! Mummy was happy that I am getting more adventurous nowadays :)

All of us enjoyed riding the cars but there are only 2 cars around. So we take turns to play and Julian likes to push Shannyn around but Shannyn prefers to drive on her own *_*

Yu-qi enjoyed herself too. She likes to play the slides and climbs the staircase. Too bad, most of the pictures taken by mummy in Fidgets have been corrupted; otherwise you can see more pictures of qiqi enjoying herself.

This is the first time yu-qi met her friends, Claryce and Joelle. Claryce is about 2 weeks younger than qiqi and she is so chubby! Mummy loves her (bak bak) thigh so much. As for Joelle, she is only 4 months old and she is a cute baby :)

Yu-Qi is 10mths old today

Today yu-qi turns 10 months old. Mummy mentioned that yu-qi is really an active girl as compared to me because she can’t sit still at times. Can u imagine she can even stand up in her high chair recently with her seat belt on? She is also good at pretending because she will whine when she saw daddy and mummy walk passed her without carrying her!

At 10months,
She only has 2 teeth;
She can walk around in her play yard now when holding to the bar;
She can stand for about few seconds without support;
She can clap her hands when she hears the song “if u happy and u know it clap your hands”;
She will imitate whatever we do;
She can follow some simple instructions from us such as when told to sit down, pass the ball to daddy;
She can speak ball, pear, papa and bear; (though at times not so clear)
She likes to push the car and walker around instead of sitting on it.

In another 2 months time she will turn 1 year old! Time really flies…..

Mummy was worried about the results of the photo shooting when she about to collect the soft copies from the studio on Monday night. Surprisingly there are still a number of photos with yu-qi smiling :-)
Overall, mummy was pleased with the photos taken by Sean Lau, just that if yu-qi is more co-operative, then the results will be so much better! For more pictures, please refer to the slide show.
Fyi, yu-qi has these pictures taken when she was 9 mths 1 wk whereas yu-fei was 2 years 8mths.

7th of Sep is mummy’s birthday and mummy will be joining the 3’s club next year! Daddy treat mummy to have an Italian lunch on Sunday and bought a cake from Canele on her actual day. Me and mei mei wish mummy all the best and Happy birthday to our dearest mummy!

Notice the wording on the piece of chocolate? It writes: Happy Birthday to our Greatest Women! Daddy said this is the best description!

Army Open House 09

Last Saturday daddy brought us to the Army Open House at Pasir Laba Camp. We reached there around 5pm as they closed at 7pm. Initially i refused to go up the trucks but after 15mins, i was all ready to go! Don't know why, i simply love steering wheels as i like to play pretends now.. I keep telling daddy that i want to drive, i want to drive.. Refer to the pictures as it speaks better :-)

Hurray, daddy bought me a second hand racing car! I was thrilled when I saw it cause I simply loves it. Almost everyday evening I will ride on it at the corridor by myself. Look at the video, I can ride and control the steering wheel well.

Qian Hu fish farm & vegetable farm

Remember I mentioned at my previous post that I want to catch fish too when I saw some of the children catching lonkang fish at Agro-Education Center at Qian Hu fish farm? And here I am catching the longkang fish. Daddy paid $5 for a net and a small tank from the counter and we can catch unlimited fishes. Initially we think it is a good deal but actually it is not, because the net they provided is so small! When you put the net down to the pond, all the fishes will swim away! Guess what? I couldn’t even catch a small fish. So daddy is helping me with the job, he used the net and his hand to scoop up the fishes. (daddy play cheat) :-) At the end, daddy managed to catch about 15 fishes within 10 mins and we proceed to the counter to pack it and bring it home.
When we reach home, daddy set up a small fish tank and transfer all the fishes in for me and those fishes become my pet and I was told by daddy that I have to take care of my fishes and feed them fish food everyday. Guess what? Those fishes die one by one by the 3rd day we bring it home! Daddy said it is due to change of environment and therefore he bought me some fishes from the fish shop.

And this is my fish tank. I enjoyed looking at the fishes swimming freely everyday and feed them fish food only when I feel like to :-)

After Qian Hu fish farm, we proceed to ah-ma’s friend’s vegetable farm. It was nice to see fresh vegetables! There are xiao bai cai, nai bai, cai xin etc etc and the kind aunty gave us so many packs of vegetables that can last for a week!

Pneumoccocal jab

Yesterday yu-qi went for her second dose of pneumococcal jab at SBCC. Mummy was glad to see the improvement of yu-qi’s weight where she weighs 8.1kg as at 9mths 1 wk. As for her height, she is 70.5cm long. Both are in the 50th percentile, so there is no worry for mummy cause mummy always felt that she is petite as compared to me (fyi, I am always on the 95 percentile) :-)
Hmm, did she cry during the jab? Yes, but just for a quick 5 seconds cause Dr Ong’s clinic has bubbles stand by! Once Dr Ong finished the jab, he immediately blows the bubbles and yu-qi seems to be forgotten about the pain after seeing the bubbles! Good idea , Dr Ong :)

Photoshooting

Recently mummy signed up a photo shooting package for yu-qi from Sean Lau Photography and we were there on Thursday for the shoot. Mummy make sure yu-qi had a good rest and is well-fed before the shoot so that she can be in her best mood. But the shoot is not as smooth as mummy had thought because yu-qi is super sticky to daddy, mummy and kakak! Once she is being left alone (even though daddy and mummy is still within her sight), she will cry, she will also crawl away the scene and it is so hard to captured her with a decent smile! Therefore mummy let her nap in between the shooting and hopefully she will be better.
During her nap, it became my turn for the shoot ( fyi, uncle Sean is doing shooting mainly for yu-qi which means I am only the 配角) but I guess that he is trying to balance out due to yu-qi’s crankiness.
After yu-qi’s nap, she still remains the same, a sticky baby. Mummy said she just hope that there will have some decent pictures of her.
Overall the shooting is fun, and I am sure that daddy, mummy and kakak are super tiring cause they have to sing, clap and play throughout the shooting so as to captured yu-qi’s attention. I had a great fun with Uncle Sean during the shooting as well and when we about to leave, I even tell Uncle Sean that I will come again tomorrow k :-)
